Empowerment in the Desert: AATB’s Journey of Unity and Growth in Palm Springs
In late March 2024, the All About The Bay (AATB) board members embarked on a transformative retreat to Palm Springs, a journey emblematic of their dedication to fostering unity and growth within the Bay Area Business Community. This trip, marked by the inspiring Desert United Luncheon hosted by Mario Hernandez, was a deep dive into the strategic development and community building that has characterized Mario’s 17-year tenure in the Coachella Valley.
As the board members, who had self-funded their trip, settled into the serene environment of Palm Springs, they engaged in meaningful conversations with Mario. “Your commitment to bringing the community together is inspiring,” said one board member during a dinner conversation, acknowledging Mario’s efforts in building a robust business and nonprofit community. Mario, with a warm smile, responded, “It’s all about creating spaces where people can connect, learn, and grow together.”
